Food Intake

Overeating the wrong foods is your worst enemy. Different food groups should have different daily servings due to there underlying nutritional value. Below is a diagram of the new food pyramid which is rather comprehensive and provides an excellent visual to understand what your body actually needs. The foods at the top of the pyramid including whites, fats and sweets should be consumed rarely.  The foods at the bottom of the pyramid should make up the majority of our diets including vegetables, whole grains and fruits. If you follow the pyramid you will be on the way to better health immediately.

Keep in mind that 1 serving is approximately the size of the palm of your hand.

Overeating

People overeat for many reasons including, stress, self satisfactions, depression and habit. Overeating occurs when you eat past that point of satisfaction from your food. Overeating should be avoided as it causes weight gain, digestive problems and can lead to diseases.

To avoid overeating you should consider eating more smaller meals everyday. Instead of eating breakfast, lunch and dinner, eat 6 smaller meals. This will aid in digestion and nutrient absorption as well.

Major symptoms of overeating include getting drowsy and feeling bloated.
