To consistently maintain a good weight you must understand what's healthy to eat and then make it part of your life and routine. You must realize that food is there too fuel your body. You have to learn to step away and not follow the majority of people and become yourself. It is when you change this and your inner beliefs you can truly lose weight and keep it off.

Are you Ready?

Weight loss is not about dieting, its about learning how and what to eat. This site hopefully has provided you with some of the tools to work out what to eat and what not to eat. Don't stop here, do more research and find out what you are really eating.

If you want to lose weight forever there are certain things you will have to make habit:

  • Eat more small meals as opposed to 3 bigger meals. What this does is increase your metabolism and fat burning capabilities. It also supplies your body with a constant array of nutrients throughout the day. 6 meals a day is preferred over 3!

  • Eat 70% water foods in your diet (fruit, vegetables, sprouts)

  • Drink the required amount of water to flush out toxins and increase your fat burning capabilities

  • Decrease the amounts of fatty foods you eat. Look at the nutritional tables on the sides of foods. Use this as a guide as to what's really fatty and what's not.

  • Eat lean meats to reduce fats consumed

  • Eat high GI carbohydrates, as they are less likely to convert into fat due to there slow releasing energy mechanisms.

  • Minimise the amount of dairy products you eat. Not only are they not very healthy they are high in fats.

  • Eat minimal sugars, that means cutting out all lollies, soft drinks and fast foods. Subways are alright if they have less then 6 grams of fat and are on wheat bread and a low fat sauce.

  • Do not eat packet chips, and try to replace canned vegetables with fresh ones.

  • Do interval exercise training for maximum fat burn eg. on bike ride fast for 10 seconds and slow for 20 seconds and repeat.

  • Weight train. The more muscle you have on your body the easier it is to burn fat.
